Some delivery drivers or other postal workers will notice that the box contains live insects, and make the decision to hold them for pickup if they feel the weather may endanger the contents by spending time on the truck or sitting in the mailbox.

If the weather is particularly warm or cold, having your package held for pickup is a good idea if it's possible for you to do so.
